World Endeavors Women’s Development projects address the unique needs and challenges that women face every day in developing countries. Volunteers contribute their efforts to the work of local women’s shelters, social work agencies, or nonprofit organizations. Project possibilities include helping women recover from exploitation and abuse, teaching job skills at a women’s development cooperative, and partnering with social organizations to help women who are suffering the effects of alcoholism, poverty, and depression. Volunteers also contribute to the day-to-day operations of their host organizations, providing administrative support or assisting with meal preparation and cleaning.
