  • Minimum Age: 18
  • Education Status: Must be enrolled in a higher education institution and have completed at least 30 academic credits before enrolling.

Housing

International cuisine is also widely available, from Western fast food to Italian, Middle Eastern, and Asian eateries. Academic Credit
At the University of Nicosia, international students can earn academic credit through their coursework, which is designed to meet rigorous educational standards. For the semester program, students can take up to 30 ECTS, and 12 ECTS (2 courses) for the summer programs.

It’s essential to check with your home institution regarding credit transfer and alignment. Our advisors will assist in coordinating credit transfer approvals with your institution.

Eligibility

To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet several criteria. The minimum age requirement is 18 years, and candidates must be enrolled in a higher education institution. For those whose first language is not English, a language proficiency test will be required to demonstrate adequate communication skills. Additionally, a minimum GPA of 2.5 is necessary to qualify for consideration. These requirements ensure that all applicants possess the foundational knowledge and skills needed for success in their academic pursuits.

However, Greek is widely spoken in southern Nicosia, while Turkish is commonly used in the northern part of the city. What’s the Weather Like in Nicosia, and What Should I Pack?

Nicosia has a Mediterranean climate, which means hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. Summer temperatures can reach 35-40°C (95-104°F), so pack lightweight clothing, sunscreen, and a hat. Winters are milder, around 5-15°C (41-59°F), but can be rainy, so a light jacket and rain gear are essential. Layering is key, especially in spring and fall, as temperatures can vary throughout the day. With over 300 days of sunshine a year, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to explore and enjoy the beautiful weather.
