Wildlife Conservation volunteer projects through World Endeavors help support and preserve populations of wildlife that may be endangered because of habitat loss, hunting, or other issues. Wildlife Conservation projects involve both direct care for animals and habitat preservation work. Some volunteers may find themselves building hatcheries and doing nighttime beach patrols to protect sea turtles as they lay their eggs. Others may work at conservation centers for tropical birds or small mammals, providing care for the animals and assisting with outreach and educational activities. Volunteers’ efforts help to ensure ecological stability and wildlife diversity for years to come.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON A WILDLIFE CONSERVATION VOLUNTEER PROJECT
Wildlife conservation projects are a unique opportunity to work hands-on and make a difference for animals and for the environments where they live. The work volunteers do is important for protecting animal populations from overhunting, overfishing, deforestation, and other forms of habitat loss. Volunteers on these projects combine their love for animals with a strong desire to assist with conservation efforts.
HIGHLIGHTS & BENEFITS
Wildlife conservation projects are a great fit for volunteers who are interested in wildlife protection and ecological stability, particularly in vulnerable locations around the world. For a successful volunteering experience, participants must have respect for biological diversity and be committed to protecting threatened populations. Successful volunteers are eager to contribute hands-on work and are not hesitant to get their hands dirty.

A lot of these animals suffer from the agony of maggots, infected wounds, skin disorders, worms and parasites, and run the risk of losing their limbs. The program has been operating in the valley to resolve these issues and to counter the growing number of street dogs. After being rescued, the dogs are kept in the animal shelter and later released or offered for adoption and into a better life.
