Depending on the placement, it can be helpful to have some experience with things like writing, social media, or digital tools, but what matters most is your interest in the field and your readiness to engage with new challenges.

Getting a communications internship with World Endeavors starts with identifying your interests, whether that’s media, public relations, digital content, or something else. Once you apply for a program, we’ll work with you to find a placement that fits your background and goals. You don’t need to have it all figured out; what’s important is that you’re motivated, open to learning, and ready to step into a professional setting where you can grow your skills.

Please note: World Endeavors interns should be 18 years or older and should have a passport valid for at least 6 months from the start of their program.

As a communications major, you can explore internships in areas like journalism, public relations, marketing, advertising, media studies, and general communications. These placements offer hands-on experience in writing, content creation, outreach, and strategy while helping you build practical skills in real-world media and communication environments.

It’s a good idea to apply for internships with World Endeavors as early as possible, especially if you have a specific timeline or destination in mind. Some placements take additional time to coordinate due to technical details or visa requirements.
