ABOUT BUENOS AIRES
In the far corner of South America rests Buenos Aires, the capital of Argentina. This city is known as the most European city in South America, but is dancing with Latin flair. Although the city was shaped by European immigrants centuries ago, the culture of the city has taken a shape of its own. Artists cover drab walls with splashes of bright pastels, which are particularly prominent in the La Boca neighborhood. Even the presidential palace, aptly named la Casa Rosada, boasts a bright rose color from top to bottom.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, though exceptions to this age requirement may be made on a case-by-case basis. Successful volunteers are hardworking, flexible, and open to truly immersing themselves in the culture. Keep in mind that all countries have different visa restrictions for varying types of passports.
