The World Endeavors Virtual International Internship (VII) Program is a remote learning experience focused on career readiness and the development of key professional competencies carried out anywhere with internet access.
Many students spend hours in the classroom only to graduate with no practical experience. An internship is an effective bridge between university and the workplace – giving students the confidence and experience needed to successfully pursue their chosen career after college.
Participants are paired with a host company abroad where they gain firsthand experience with a multitude of remote-working technologies, attain valuable professional skills relevant for their future careers, and learn about the business landscape of a new country – all from the comfort of their home. Through regular interactions with their internship supervisor, participants are exposed to diverse cultures and ideas, and develop critical thinking and communication skills as well as intercultural fluency, which helps prepare them for the job market.
Using various tools including online learning platforms, self-reflection assessments, and regular evaluations, World Endeavors’ virtual internships help propel participants one step closer to their intended career.
The program fee for a Virtual International Internship is $1,470.
The program includes:

Hear how past participants describe their experiences as virtual international interns with World Endeavors in their own words.

Nadine originally planned to intern abroad in Morocco with World Endeavors during the summer of 2021, but when her university cancelled student travel due to Covid, she pivoted to a virtual internship instead! As part of her program, she took 30 hours of one-on-one Arabic classes with a local instructor over Skype. Her International Relations internship was with a private Moroccan educational institution and her project centered on the use of feature films and documentaries in the promotion and teaching of Human Rights.
“This internship was helpful to both my professional and personal goals. It was helpful professionally because I was able to improve my time management skills and my skills as a self-directed learner. What I mean by that is my coordinators would give me tasks per week, and then I put together a schedule for those tasks. This is exceedingly important in today's workforce, and I am glad it was reinforced this summer. I also was able to improve my interpersonal communication skills and Spanish literacy. Additionally, my host organization showed me an alternate side of NGOs and how to uplift communities in this time of strife. Personally, this experience reinforced how passionate I am about continuing to educate myself on the most effective and meaningful ways of helping people. I am very grateful for my time spent with this organization!”
- Jenna P., Virtual Public Health Intern, Argentina 2020
“During this internship, I was able to build upon my communication and collaborative skills working one on one with my supervisor and also my critical thinking skills as she gave me quite a lot of freedom with creating content for her social media platforms. This internship was helpful in improving my soft skills such as communication, collaboration, work ethic, critical thinking and problem solving as well as improving and learning skills which are relevant to my future career such as learning how to use SEO's to improve her website traffic. Doing an international virtual internship was a win-win for me as I was able to gain skills relevant to the industry I want to work in as well as skills I didn't realise would be so important such as working remotely and communicating despite time differences. The whole process with World Endeavors was very easy and stress-free. The program coordinator communicated with me throughout different points during my internship and the added bonus of helping with resumes and interviews was super helpful!”
- Sarah C., Virtual Marketing Intern, England 2020
“I was involved in finding and evaluating investors interested in the exploration and production stages of gold and base metals. I gained experience with basic tasks of a financial advisory company. World Endeavors has many qualified coordinators and cooperating companies, and they can arrange placements for interns in a short amount of time.”
- Longji Q., Virtual Finance Intern, Australia 2020
“Through my virtual internship I was able to build and develop new skills which will later be very useful in my professional career. Doing a virtual internship was the best decision I made as I was able to utilise my time in a productive manner throughout the covid-19 lockdown and I would like to thank the World Endeavors team as they were quickly able to sort everything out and make this a smooth and hassle free experience.”
- Aayush G., Virtual International Business Intern, England 2020
“I learned so much over the course of my internship. I was truly able to touch up on my writing skills (which was my biggest goal). I learned a great deal of professionalism and overall feel I grew as a person. I would definitely say this will benefit later on in my future endeavors as not only is it great credibility I can add for myself but I obtained useful skills. Also, I want to thank World Endeavors for everything, you were spectacular and incredibly helpful to me.”
