World Endeavors provides a unique opportunity to study at Mahidol University in Thailand. Mahidol University was first established as a medical school in the late 1800s. One medical school has grown into four, as well as renowned faculties in music, business, sciences, and liberal arts. World Endeavors students at Mahidol University take classes through the university’s International College. This college offers full degree programs in a wide range of subjects all taught in English, making it easy for study abroad students to fulfill degree requirements from their home universities. Students at the International College come from Thailand and are from more than 40 other countries around the world. The campus of Mahidol University houses a variety of cultural centers, and many social activities are held on campus throughout the year, including dances, concerts, plays, and movies. There are also many student clubs for students to share interests in artistic, cultural, political, religious, or athletic activities. The campus is located in a peaceful suburb of Bangkok with all the attractions of the city only half an hour away.
The World Endeavors program at Mahidol University is a great fit for students who want to continue their degree program in English while being immersed in a new culture. The wide selection of courses and international student body make this a great place to explore academically, socially, and culturally as well as to make friends from around the world.
As the capital of Thailand, Bangkok is a thriving metropolis and one of the economic and cultural centers of southeast Asia. Visitors can find stunning monuments to Thailand’s heritage here, including the royal Grand Palace, the fascinating European-Thai architecture of Dusit Park, and historic Buddhist, Hindu, and Sikh temples. Meanwhile, the city carries on its vibrant daily life in the colorful markets and along the Chao Phrya River. Life in Bangkok is a unique and unpredictable mix of international business, close-knit neighborhoods, ancient heritage, and festive local celebrations. There’s plenty here to keep students fascinated and engaged, and, for those who want to explore, it’s the perfect place to begin a trip into the less urban regions of Thailand and Southeast Asia. Mahidol University is located on a leafy green campus in Salaya, a suburb of Bangkok, offering a quiet place to work and live within easy reach of the city.
“During my stay here in Thailand I have only felt welcome and at home. The people, environment, culture, the smiles and laughs make this place something to remember.”
- Junpei, Volunteer in Thailand
Upon successful completion of the program, credit and transcripts will be issued by Mahidol University.
