India’s booming economy makes it a hub of industry and business activity, while its unique culture and rich history have made it one of the most influential countries in the world. Interns who are interested in immersing themselves in a culture that is millennia-old while gaining experience in a dynamic, emerging market would do well to consider India as the destination for their internship. And those who wish to do some exploring while abroad will find a plethora of options: the diversity of India from coast to coast is immense, as is the opportunity to experience new sights, sounds, and tastes. This program is an excellent choice for anyone looking to explore a wide variety of cultures and landscapes as India is an incredibly diverse country, all while gaining necessary work experience for their career field.
India is a country of eclecticism: an ancient national history spanning thousands of years maintained side by side with strong international influences, traditional cultures and religions, a modern, fast-paced lifestyle, and diverse languages and cultures, all united by a strong sense of national pride. Jaipur is located in the Rajasthan region of northwestern India. The city is known for its cultural heritage and landmarks, such as the Amber Fort, Jantar Mantar, and Nahargarh Fort. Those in search of a location to truly excite the senses can’t go wrong with Jaipur!
"World Endeavors allowed me to live in India, rather than be another Western tourist. I was not 'experiencing a culture,' I was engulfed in the day to day life of Tamil Nadu. It was one of the more remarkable experiences of my life."
- Maxwell, Volunteer in India
