Location

Seoul is the beating heart of South Korea. A bustling metropolis overflowing with energy and culture, travelers are spoiled for choice when visiting this breathtaking gem of a city. Notoriously tourist-friendly, Seoul boasts streets that are peaceful and exceptionally safe, signs in public areas are often in English and Korean, and public transportation both around the city and across the country is punctual and pristine. Nightlife is king in Seoul, and nowhere is this more evident than Itaewon and Hongdae, Seoul’s famously chic, vibrant nightlife districts. Browse the sundry wares of local vendors at markets in Myeongdong and Gwangjang or take in sweeping views of the fourth most populous city in the world from the top of Seoul Tower. For those who appreciate a stroll, the palatial complexes of Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung sit nestled in between the mountains of northern Seoul, with the charming Bukchon Hanok village between them, a remarkable preservation of 15th-century Korean urban life.

Housing

There are multiple housing options when studying at HUFS. On-Campus and nearby campus housing is an option for students where rooms will range from single, double or triple occupancy dormitories or shared flats. All dormitories are located in close walking proximity to campus. Free wifi is provided along with access to a laundry and study room via a key card system.
