The city center has seen massive redevelopment, and locals and tourists alike now flock to the city’s museums, concert halls, and art galleries. A center of higher education, Belfast caters to students from all over the world, and the lively, diverse student presence helps define the creative and friendly local culture. There’s history to see here, too as Belfast has long been an industrial and economic center of the United Kingdom. All university housing is within walking distance of the main campus. Students have access to kitchen facilities to prepare meals, and there are also many restaurants and cafes nearby. Very reasonably priced meals are available at the university’s Student Union.
