Program Overview

Founded in 2015, the Luxembourg School of Business (LSB) offers world-renowned management education to international students. Dedicated to developing internationally competitive professionals, this institution offers part-time and full-time graduate programs, taught by highly regarded experts from around the world. With small classes, teaching is a mix of academic information and real-world challenges that prepare students to think critically, act strategically and lead with confidence. The International Office of the Luxembourg School of Business helps students with their time abroad and manages the relationships between LSB and its partner universities.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Approval received from the home university.
  • Current official undergraduate degree transcript.
  • Valid passport until at least 6 months after your program end date.
  • Copy of your passport (photo page)Most students will be required to obtain a study visa. The application process can be extensive but World Endeavors staff will walk you through it!

Location

Luxembourg City, the capital of Luxembourg, one of the richest countries in the world, is an ideal place to study for an international career, with a thriving job market, a dynamic economy and home to several multinational companies. Immerse yourself in the multiculturalism of this city, whose population represents more than 70 nations and 40 languages.

This picturesque city, built on several levels, stands at the confluence of two rivers and has large areas devoted to parks, forests and UNESCO sites. Voted as one of the safest cities in the world, you will be able to soak up its historic buildings and green vistas using the completely free public transport system, or use its centrality to explore France, Germany and Belgium.

Housing

Luxembourg School of Business has limited accommodation for its students. In Luxembourg, renting a studio is between 800 and 1000 EUR/month, depending on location and offered facilities. To reduce the price for the rent, students can opt for flat sharing or find a place in an apartment in the bordering countries such as France, Germany, or Belgium.

Life in Luxembourg city

Twice named the European Capital of Culture, this small city has a surprising number of museums, like the National Museum of History and Art, theaters and concert halls. Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this picturesque city will capture your curiosity.

Free transport across the country of Luxembourg entices you to explore this ancient country. Visit its oldest city, Echternach, or the quaint town of Vianden, or hike the valleys and pastures of the acclaimed Mullerthal Trail in Luxembourg’s ‘Little Switzerland’.

Academic

Academic credit and transcripts are issued by the Luxembourg School of Business after the successful completion of the program. The Luxembourg School of Business is a fully-accredited, state-recognized institution of higher learning, whose teaching will help you develop the skills you need to succeed, with a mix of lecture-style tuition and practical experience.

The World Endeavors process is designed to take the guesswork out of academic credit and credit transfers. Our experienced advisors work with each student and his or her academic advisor before the program begins to ensure students earn the credit expected for courses taken abroad.

Eligibility

The Luxembourg School of Business offers MBA programs only. Applicants to study abroad with World Endeavors must have completed an undergraduate program and hold a degree from a reputable university. Please contact a World Endeavors advisor for more detailed eligibility criteria.

Course Load

The Luxembourg School of Business summer program is an intensive 2-weeks designed to expand your knowledge and create new networking to ensure an educational and exciting summer. Filled with activities such as sightseeing, interactive classes, company visits, networking drinks, and many more.

Students will take a maximum of 2 courses, choosing between Marketing Management, Corporate Finance, and Economics. Each course will be worth 4 ECTS credits.

  • Explore Casemates du Bock: A vast complex of underground tunnels and galleries that have been used for defense, shelter, and more for centuries. They offer a unique perspective on the city’s history and provide beautiful views.
  • Visit the Palace of the Grand Dukes: The city residence of the Grand Ducal family. While the interiors can be visited only during summer, the changing of the guard and the exterior architecture are year-round attractions.
