About the University of Waikato
The University of Waikato is a major university in New Zealand. Its comprehensive course offerings in a wide range of fields makes this an ideal program for most majors. Waikato is renowned for its diverse student body that includes a higher percentage of Maori students than any other New Zealand university.
Waikato is located in Hamilton on the country’s North Island. Students will enjoy the sprawling campus, complete with gardens, lakes, and extensive recreational and sporting areas. Hamilton is the largest city in its region and is one of the fastest growing urban areas in New Zealand.

About the Scholarship
World Endeavors is offering scholarships up to $1,000 for students participating in our Study in New Zealand program during the 2016-2017 academic year. Both semester and year-long study programs are eligible.
Applicants must submit a 500-700 word essay explaining why they wish to study in New Zealand and what they hope to gain from an experience abroad. Award amounts will be announced after the application deadline and the scholarship will be deducted from the final program fee.
Deadline
Applications for our New Zealand Scholarship will be accepted until May 1st, 2016. Scholarship applications must be received by World Endeavors within 10 business days of applying to the Study in New Zealand program.
