Cover photo: Earlier this week my roommates and I went out for dinner and decided to hike up to the Piazzale de Michelangelo to see the beautiful view of the city we get to call home for the rest of summer. We stayed to watch the sunset and grab gelato to reward ourselves for conquering all those steps on the way up.

The first week here was nothing short of amazing! I spent the week in Florence and then go to travel to Amalfi Coast, Capri and Pompeii over the weekend. All filled with beautiful scenery that looks like it belongs in a dream.

I was also able to take a one day trip to the Tuscany wineries. Florence is the perfect spot to be able to go on day trips or weekend trips when time allows. There are so many beautiful places so close it makes it very easy to travel cheaply when you don’t want to spend a bunch of money.

While in Capri my boat stopped at the Blue Grotto. We got very lucky with the tides as it was closed the day before. I was a little hesitant on going in at first but am so thankful I changed my mind. The cave and water were both stunning I would recommend anyone to go if they get the opportunity. The island of Capri has so much history and beauty to offer.
