In India, the bright color represents hospitality, and the city was painted as such to welcome the Prince of Wales in 1876. Talk about a warm welcome!

It also once housed the largest sundial in the world, and it’s many unique devices and measurement tools still attract astronomers and astrophysicists from all over. It is also one of Jaipur’s UNESCO World Heritage Sites, and is a popular attraction for those who prefer to appreciate outer space from a distance.
