Celebrating International Women’s Day!
International Women’s Day is a day to celebrate the many political, cultural, and economic achievements of women. In 1909, the first National Women’s Day was recognized across the United States. Today, celebrations extend globally as many countries recognize it as an official national holiday. While International Women’s Day is celebrated once a year, our international volunteer opportunities run year-round. Volunteers work with local organizations to meet the unique challenges of the community. In the past, volunteers have assisted women’s shelters, social work agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
