Eligibility
To be eligible for Monroe University’s J-1 exchange program, students need to provide university transcripts, a 350-word personal essay, and proof of English proficiency (Duolingo, IELTS, or TOEFL, if their university’s instruction isn’t in English). Applicants must also secure approval from their home institution’s Office of International Programs.

Monroe University is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The J-1 visa program at Monroe University does not currently support Clinical Medical programs, Early Childhood Education, or graduate programs.
