Community Development and Women's Assistance in Tanzania

Volunteers who have an interest in helping to foster the economic and social welfare of a community will find many meaningful projects in Tanzania.  World Endeavors has partnered with a Tanzanian women's development cooperative to provide volunteers a way to connect directly with local people and make a difference in their community.  Several projects are available, depending on the time of year.

Teaching in Tanzania

Teaching in Tanzania

Volunteers help shape young lives in Tanzania by sharing their English skills and teaching talents. They teach English along with many other subjects to elementary school children from 5-12 years of age. During the first week of classes, volunteers will shadow a local teacher to become familiar with the school, the children, and the curriculum. If the volunteer is ready at the beginning of the second week, he or she may begin teaching independently.
