Before students embark, they will be provided a pre-departure handbook that includes important details about their program abroad. In addition, students may contact World Endeavors any time prior to departure with questions.
Orientation:
Students will participate in an orientation session after their arrival in Mexico. Orientation includes a welcome, a tour of the language study facilities, a Spanish placement test, information about housing Cuernavaca, and your classes, as well as a tour of the city in the afternoon. Living in a host family setting is the best way to practice your Spanish outside of the classroom, and participants frequently make friendships that can last a lifetime. Additional housing options may be available at an extra cost; if you are interested in these options, please contact World Endeavors for more information.

To ensure proper transfer of credits, students should meet with their academic advisors prior to traveling to Mexico. Classes run from Monday to Friday from 8 am to 2 pm. Each day includes 3 hours of Spanish classes, 2 hours of Latin American history and culture or grammar, and 1 hour of cultural lectures or conversation. Students also have the opportunity to take additional enrichment classes in the afternoons at no extra cost. Topics include: extra help with pronunciation, grammar, or advanced conversation.
