World Endeavors offers placements in several lifestyle, culture and travel magazines located in India. Publications are in English. This is a great placement for interns who have a curiosity and interest in modern Indian culture. Internships may include the opportunity to do research, contribute story ideas, and possibly even have your articles published either online or in print publications. The World Endeavors Internship Guarantee
When you are accepted into the World Endeavors internship program, that is our guarantee that we can find you an internship in your chosen field. You will work with a World Endeavors internship placement staff member who will get to know you, your academic background, work experience, special skills, and professional goals. We will then work to find an internship placement that is a good match for both you and the host organization.

Eligibility: It is helpful for interns to have some previous experience or coursework in writing or journalism, although this is not required. Be prepared to provide samples of your previous work, if applicable.

Pre-Departure Information: Before participants embark, they will be provided a pre-departure handbook that includes important details about their internship abroad. In addition, participants may contact World Endeavors any time prior to departure with questions.

Orientation:

After arriving in India, participants will be met at the airport and given an orientation. Our director of programs in India will be available to provide support and answer questions throughout the duration of the internship.

Housing:

Housing assistance is provided. Interns will be placed in apartment accommodations.

Short-term accommodations can be difficult to find. We provide assistance to interns looking for housing during their stay in India.

Considerations:

World Endeavors offers internship placements in Dehli, Jaipur and Mumbai. The city in which you are eventually placed will depend on your internship field, previous experience, and local availability. If you have a strong preference we will do what we can to place you in your city of choice but we cannot always guarantee a placement in a particular city.

Programs generally start on Monday of each week. Participants can choose whne they would like to start and the duration of their internship program. A typical program ranges from 3 to 4 months. Check with World Endeavors for alternate dates or durations.

We encourage interns to apply as far in advance as possible. Generally it is best to submit your application at least 12 weeks prior to your intended start date, but exceptions can be made if the intern is willing to work with World Endeavors to expedite the enrollment process.
