Get academic credit while having the time of your life in one of the most exciting cities in Europe- London! World Endeavors offers a unique program through Middlesex University in London that allows participants to call that great city their home for 3 weeks this summer. Choose from a variety of available courses and spend your free time getting to know fellow students from all over the world. Join World Endeavors this summer in London and have an academic experience like no other.

Eligibility: Students must be at least 18 years old and have been previously enrolled in a college or university.

Before students embark, they will be provided a pre-departure guide that includes important details about their program abroad. In addition, students may contact World Endeavors any time prior to departure with questions.

Orientation:

The summer study in London program offers a fun, three-day orientation program which includes a guided tour of London. Orientation is an excellent opportunity to ask questions about the program, meet fellow students, and explore your new city. Participants will be met at the airport and brought to their housing. The program also includes the city tour, a trip on the famous Ferris wheel, the 'London Eye,' and other special events.

Housing:

Single university accommodation is provided. Bathrooms and kitchen facilities are shared.

2 meals are provided during each weekday of the program. No meals are provided on weekends. However, the program does include twice-weekly bus transfers to a local supermarket, to make shopping easy and convenient.

The following are subjects offering credit-bearing courses. There are also non credit-bearing courses available; contact World Endeavors for more information about courses not taken for credit.

Students can choose a maximum of two credit-bearing courses.

It is the student's responsibility to contact their academic advisor prior to the program to ensure that courses taken while abroad are transferable to their home institution.

Participant Life:

Combining an excellent location in the cultural, financial and tourist center of Great Britain as well as a calendar full of exciting social events, the summer study in London program will always offer something to do. A number of events and short trips are included in the program price. Past events have included:

Visits to the West End theater district
Thames River cruise
Visit to local historic sites such as Stonehenge or Windsor Castle
Theme parties
Medieval Banquet

Scheduled events slightly differ from year to year. There are also numerous sporting facilities on campus that are available to students, such as an outdoor pool, sports hall, gym, and exercise classes.

Cost and Dates :

3 week summer program: US$5250*

June 27 through July 19, 2008 (Application deadline: May 1)

A 6 week program may be available for students who would like to participate for a longer period of time. Please contact World Endeavors for more information about the 6 week program.
