The World Endeavors Internship Guarantee
When you are accepted into the World Endeavors internship program, that is our guarantee that we can find you an internship in your chosen field. You will work with a World Endeavors internship placement staff member who will get to know you, your academic background, work experience, special skills, and professional goals. We will then work to find an internship placement that is a good match for both you and the host organization.

Fields: Choose from a wide variety of fields. This is not a comprehensive list; please contact us if you are interested in a subject not listed below. We may be able to arrange a placement in your desired field.

Eligibility: Participants should be at least 18 years old; some previous work experience is recommended. Completed coursework in your field is also desirable. Participants must have been a full-time student (at least 8 course hours) within the last 6 months, OR have the ability to obtain a British work permit.

Pre-Departure Information: Before students embark, they will be provided a pre-departure handbook that includes important details about their experiences abroad. The pre-departure handbook includes general information about the host country, cultural information, interviewing tips, contact information, and much more. In addition to the handbook, participants may contact World Endeavors any time prior to departure with questions.

Orientation:

Interns will be given an orientation upon their arrival. A 1 day hop-on, hop-off bus tour is also included in order for interns to get a better idea of the amazing city that will become their home.

Housing:

Housing assistance is provided. Affordable housing in London can be very difficult to find, as the cost of living is very high. World Endeavors is able to assist participants with arranging housing before their arrival. Options include single apartments, shared rooms, and student-type dormitories.

World Endeavors works with a London-based housing agent to arrange accommodations on behalf of interns. All housing is in zones 1 and 2 within easy access of the underground. Shared flats are very basic, but safe and affordable, and interns will have the opportunity to meet other international students and young people. We will do our best to place you within convenient distance of your internship site, but due to unavoidable circumstances some interns may have longer commutes.

Participant Life:

Once you get yourself acclimated to living in London, there are many opportunities to enjoy the authentic British life. Parks abound throughout the city and many prestigious museums are free to the public. London's cultural history is everywhere- from the Tower of London to St. Paul's Cathedral to the Houses of Parliament. London also has a great nightlife including clubs and discos, pubs and restaurants, concerts, theaters, and public events. The different activities available are so numerous they could never be listed here; interns will never find themselves at a loss for something to do in their spare time.

Internships can be arranged to last any length of time from two months to six months in length. If you wish to intern for longer than six months, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you. Participants can choose when they would like to start and the duration of their program. Start dates are flexible, but are based on the needs of the host company as well as the intern.

We encourage interns to apply as far in advance as possible. We recommend that interns submit their applications at least 16 weeks prior to their intended start date, but exceptions can be made if the intern is willing to work with World Endeavors to expedite the enrollment process.
